“I watch to learn to serve.”

I had a truly enriching and commendable weekend, celebrating the culmination of Dr. Cindy Trimm’s Kingdom Ministry School (KMS) and immersing myself in the End Your Year Strong (EYYS) conference. Through my KMS courses, I gained insights on maximizing my potential and effectively influencing current and future generations by understanding spiritual truths from a biblical perspective. The conference featured speakers delivering impactful messages of hallelujah, gratitude, and reflections on Isaiah 43:18-19—urging us to let go of the past and embrace the new things unfolding, a transformative journey in the wilderness and abundance in the wasteland.

While messages of praise echoed throughout the graduation and conference programs, what truly uplifted me wasn’t documented in either. My encounter with a young lady from Dr. Trimm’s team left a lasting impression. Beyond being remarkably helpful, cheerful, and organized, she exuded eagerness for teamwork, possessed a keen awareness of her role and value, and comprehended her significant contributions to the team. I was genuinely amazed. When I expressed the impact she had on me, her humble response was, “I watch to learn to serve.”

What is the likelihood that this message was one of the most memorable, that deeply connected with me from this weekend? I believe you are only as strong as your weakest link, and that there don’t have to be any weak links! From the pulpit to the podium to the praise and worship team, to the staff, the praise went up and the blessings came down!

When you lead in love and with integrity, guided by a higher purpose, it’s essential to recognize that the Word of God isn’t confined to the podium or the singular leadership of a congregation. It comes to life through the actions of your members, creating a resonance that surpasses any individual. It’s a divine manifestation that extends beyond the influence of any one person. This humble servant reminded me of the power of watching, learning and serving, and importance of having the willfulness to do so.

Congratulations to my classmates and fellow graduates in the Class of 2023!

Let’s watch to learn to serve!
